Leaving the comfort of your home, the rhythm of your routine, everything you know...is not a simple ask. At the ripe old age of (almost) 30, it's something I have been asking of myself for the longest time and I don't think its uncommon for folks to encounter this crossroad in life. Whether it's the first time or the fifth time, it never seems easy to decide which way to go. But sometimes, you just need to take a chance.
This photo reminds me of how easy it is to scare ourselves from making a leap or, more generally speaking, achieving a goal that is shrouded by unknowns. I believe the best strategy is to break it down into smaller, more obtainable chunks.
One rock at a time.
And I think that's where most of us make the wrong turn. We tend to look at the big goals, the ones we really want for ourselves, and try to tackle them with one giant swing or, even worse, strategizing in this manner and puting ourselves in a position that is more likely to fail before we even begin.
Smaller, more obtainable chunks. It could mean running just once a month instead of three times a week. It could mean eating just one stick of broccoli per month instead of a whole box of veggies. This is something I have been trying to do more lately. Start small and build the momentum.
